Recently, a Fairfax homeowner grew tired of looking at his 20+ year-old wood privacy fence and decided it was time to replace it. He compared similar wood fences that were recently built in his neighborhood and noticed that certain fences were “holding up” better than others. During our visit, we thoroughly inspected the existing fence and noticed cracked and warped boards and parts of the fence that were leaning. Once we proceeded to measure the perimeter of the property we had the chance to speak to the neighbor who was in his backyard at the time.
Word-of-mouth spread and before we knew it, we were coordinating with seven different homeowners… that was the entire street. Given that the neighbors live right next to each other they were able to save money by splitting the cost of the section of fence that was shared between them.
